PRIVATE COACHING & ADVISORY

When something at work needs to change, get clear on where to begin.

A difficult decision. Pressure that keeps returning. A team or business that depends too heavily on you.

Work privately with Gerrit Louw, a registered Industrial Psychologist, to understand what may be keeping the problem in place and identify a useful way forward.

START WITH WHAT’S LIVE

You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.

Start with a real situation. We can work out what deserves attention from there.

01

“I keep revisiting the same decision.”

Clarify the trade-offs and consequences so you can decide what matters most.

02

“Every difficult decision still comes back to me.”

Understand why, and where others could take greater ownership.

03

“The busy period ends. The pressure doesn’t.”

Identify what keeps the pattern going, and what it is costing you.

04

“What used to work no longer fits.”

Adapt your role, business or working life without abandoning what matters.

WHAT PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE ADDS

We don’t assume the problem is you. Or that it is only the work.

Similar pressures can have different explanations. Understanding the difference changes where you begin.

YOU MIGHT SAY

“Everything seems to come back to me.”

THE USEFUL DISTINCTION

Perhaps it isn’t simply a delegation problem. Perhaps decision authority is unclear.

That changes what we need to investigate.

QUESTIONS WORTH EXPLORING

01

Which decisions genuinely require your judgement?

02

Where are ownership or decision rights unclear?

03

What happens when someone else makes the call?

ONE POSSIBLE FIRST CHANGE

Clarify authority for one recurring decision, test it in practice and observe what changes.

Illustrative example, not a diagnosis or prescribed solution. The right questions depend on your circumstances.

This is the kind of exploration we can begin in your first consultation .

YOUR GUIDE

Gerrit Louw · Registered Industrial Psychologist

HPCSA PS 0151874

Psychological understanding together with organisational diagnostics, leadership, assessment and work design. Looking at the person and the conditions around them.

YOUR FIRST 60 MINUTES

One focused session. A more informed next move.

Your 60 minutes are dedicated to the situation you’re facing. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, what may be keeping it in place, and what you can do next.

You’ll leave with a clearer perspective, whether or not you decide to continue working with me.

  1. 01

    Understand the issue

Explore what is happening and what may be contributing to it.

  2. 02

    Clarify your options

Distinguish genuine constraints from areas you may be able to influence.

  3. 03

    Identify the next move

Consider an action, decision or important question to investigate.

IF WE CONTINUE

Some challenges need more than one good conversation.

A difficult decision may become clearer in one session. Changing a long-established pattern, developing leadership capability or redesigning how responsibility is shared can take time.

Ongoing work means we can return to what happens between conversations, rather than starting again each time.

01 / AGREE THE FOCUS

Know what progress would look like.

Agree priorities, scope and what would count as useful progress.

02 / TEST IN REAL LIFE

Work where the pattern happens.

Try changes in the decisions, relationships or working arrangements that matter.

03 / REVIEW AND ADAPT

Build on what you learn.

See what changed, what did not and what deserves attention next.

Further coaching or advisory work is optional, with scope, structure and fees agreed separately.
